THE EGYPTIAN EVENT
Celebrating 35 YEARS

The 2004 Egyptian Event will mark the 35^th Anniversary of The Pyramid Society.  This membership organization, which has long stood as a trusted and dedicated promoter of Egyptian Arabian horses, will celebrate its long-running success in true fashion at the 2004 Egyptian Event.

 The 24^th Annual Egyptian Event is the perfect opportunity to experience all that Kentucky and the world of Egyptian Arabian horses have to offer.   Packed full of educational seminars, competitive showing, fabulous shopping, and of course, plenty of socials; the Event will once again provide something for everyone. 

Back for the 9^th year are the highly anticipated Egyptian Breeders’ Challenge (EBC) classes, where some of the finest Egyptian Arabian yearlings will compete for $50,000 in prize money! And the EBC Auction will offer the opportunity for everyone to bid on breedings to over 50 exquisite straight Egyptian stallions, with the chance for the resulting yearlings to participate in future EBC classes. 

Many of the EBC stallions will also be presented individually in the ever-popular Stallion Showcase.  The Showcase includes one of the week’s most sought-after moments, when all attendees are invited into the arena to view these stallions up close and speak with the owners and trainers about the breeding opportunities they offer.

Thursday’s Barn Parties, hosted by prominent Egyptian Arabian farms, are held at several of the barns at the scenic Kentucky Horse Park.  These social events give visitors the opportunity to eat, drink, and enjoy the ambiance of being surrounded by stunning horses and delightful people.  They offer the chance to speak one-on-one with the owners and perhaps find the perfect horse to begin, or add to, their breeding program!

            The 24^th Annual Egyptian Event will also include a “Sixties” themed Gala and Fundraiser. This night of peace, love, and equine art will feature an auction of works by prominent equine artists to benefit The Society’s ongoing programs, and will also offer sounds of the sixties as well as an opportunity to reminisce about the good-ole days! 

Saturday morning will give all horse lovers the opportunity to participate in the 4^th Annual AERC sanctioned Pyramid Challenge Endurance Ride.  This event gives participants the unique chance to enjoy the delightful surroundings of the Kentucky Horse Park by riding through 25 or 50 miles of the park’s breath taking scenery.  The Egyptian Event will conclude on Saturday evening with a festive finale befitting of the organization’s 35^th Anniversary.
